Shelf Subsea supports the oil and gas industry in upstream and midstream operations. We specialise in supporting the subsea interventions required in new field developments and inspection, repair, and maintenance (IRM) activities related to existing subsea infrastructure and mooring systems. We have extensive international experience working for both national and independent oil companies. We combine the elements of project management, engineering, offshore assets, and personnel to make every job successful.

Shelf Subsea assists in field decommissioning with several services related to disconnecting and removing subsea assets. We have completed a number of decommissioning projects with work scope ranging from simple disconnections to all field SPS removal. Our work is completed to the strictest environmental standards. Every decommissioning is unique, and Shelf Subsea has a wide range of experience to bring to the fore.

Shelf Subsea supports renewable projects by providing multipurpose vessels and survey services. Many of the disciplines and experience of our work in the offshore energy markets are directly transferable to the renewables sector.

Shelf Subsea performs extensive offshore and subsea environmental monitoring through our survey division to support a range of requirements, including monitoring the impacts of offshore and nearshore construction activity and benchmarking and monitoring a range of oceanographic elements from Metocean, hydrographic to chemical and physical ocean properties. We work for government, environmental, and private organisations utilising manned and unmanned (autonomous) vessels to perform our work, depending on the technical and client requirements.

The skills, experience, and equipment Shelf Subsea employs in our day-to-day work are transferable to the defence industry. Areas that we can assist and participate in include UXO surveys, asset retrieval, diving and subsea-related activities, oceanographic surveys and monitoring, and the application of autonomous surface and subsea vessels.

Shelf Subsea supports offshore salvage operations in several areas related to wreck management and removal. Specific activities include found surveys, oil removal, Diver/ROV hazard removal, and preparation work for wreck removal.

Shelf Subsea performs various near-shore and offshore activities to support the Civil Construction and Mining industry. This includes environmental monitoring, site restoration, survey, tailings pipe maintenance and installation, and Jetty-related work, including shallow water geotechnical.
